I am Prathyusha ( you can call me "Prathyu"). Here i am trying to share a mutual love i have for something, trying to bond and make a new life for myself. There are so many subtle yet magnificent terms like time,
love, passion, and life. One most important term that binds all of them together
is motivation. Coming from a small town in India, it was sheer motivation that
helped me achieve the little bit of what I have achieved today. Amidst all the work and effort I may have
lost to understand what I love the most and what makes me look into things from
a different perspective. This is a venture for me to rediscover my passion and
maybe enjoy my life through sharing with all you guys who share the same
passion and love.
We all love to share, talk and enjoy what we see, taste,
smell, and see around. Many people around us do a lot of stuff that can be
different from what we are doing. We manage to bring out that one thing that we
can relate each other’s to make new friends or create an interest in others who
are searching to rediscover themselves. Through this blog I am looking to make
new friends, learn about people who share the same love for what I do and learn
about your interests and maybe attribute it to something hidden for all of us.

A couple of months ago I moved to New Jersey for my job. As
fun and interesting my job is as a drug safety associate, it always gets
stressful after a whole day’s work. When I lay on bed, I think of all those
childhood days I spent with my cousins. We would get up early in the morning only
to go out to the mango farm and laze around the whole day under the cool shade
of the trees, until my mother or one of my aunt’s would bring us lunch. We
would sit around them as though it was a round table conference and she would
feed us all these delicious and sumptuous dishes which I can probably never
have ever again in my life. At that point of time it never occurred to me that
life would escalate so quickly. I was too consumed in my own love for the food
and its taste. My little allowed me only to eat some of it but I would stuff
myself with more as though I would never get it again. Today I realize I did a
good thing stuffing myself. After eating, we would take a nap for some time
until one of my cousin wakes us up with an idea to steal mangoes from someone
else’s farm (something I never understood why we had to). We would run with the
mangoes with the farmer chasing us with a huge stick. We would cut it with a sharp
rock-add salt and chili and eat it. It was our afternoon snack. By the time we
got home the word would have reached that we have stolen mangoes. We would be
punished by taking out cricket bats away. But mothers are always nice to their
kids. They wouldn't call us for dinner and then it was yet another lavish fest.
An
entrée is never complete without a desert. We would bring the desert in one
huge bowl and a couple of spoons and would share it with each other. Thinking
about all this I drop into the dreamland of all those memories.
The next day I realized that I may not be able to get the
same life I had when I was a child. But I had to comfort myself and make the
best of what I have. Being the huge food fanatic I am I realized that I should blog
about the various restaurants and the kind of food I get there. Most
vegetarians often think they do not have much of a choice when they hit a
restaurant. I had the same difficulty as I am pure vegetarian who cannot have
eggs either. But with a lovely friend whom I met, life became much easier and
now I am able to go out and enjoy the deliciousness that life has in store for
me. With my article I would like to give an idea to all the vegetarians how they
can get what they want, customize the food and at the same time I have foods
for those meat lovers who look to try out new foods.

I think it’s important to not just go out and eat because
you can’t cook, but because food is one of those special items that bond you to
all those special people who have been there for a long time and love you
immensely. Every bite of food you take reminds you of the people who were
there. For some it may be a mother, for some it maybe an aunt who was there to
look after, for some it was a cute grandmother who would always force you to
eat and for some it is sharing food with your cousins or friends. This is a
special way to reminisce all those wonderful memories and make the best out of
your life in this fast paced life and not let those memories fade.
As George Bernard Shaw said “There is no sincere love than
the love of food”.
You may love Indian, Italian, Chinese, anything. It’s all in
